Color Propaganda Lookbook

Color Propaganda is a collaboration between designer Marco Oggian and Davide Binda, a DJ and owner of a shop called Refresh in Italy. According to their website, "Color Propaganda is a brand contextualised in an artistic, musical and cultural movement based exactly on the colour." I just love their lookbook, which combines fashion and design in a quirky way.

For more information, visit Color Propaganda's website.

P.S. Dearest Grammar Nazis, it pained me each time I had to spell "colour" like an American, okay? Peace.

MK Awards 2013: Rock Star

The MK Awards are taking place on Sunday. In spirit of the rock star dress code, I've put a couple of outfits together. It's all about adding a splodge of masculinity to your look. It's about heavy leather and studs, only to be accessorized with ample attitude.

Ringlets and red lips

Photographer Andrey Yakovlev and  make-up artist/ art director Lili Alleava have teamed up to create the most beautiful stories behind fashion photography. I especially liked this shoot with this impossibly pretty, doll-like model.

See the rest of Yakovlev and Alleava's portfolio on Behance.

Best Dressed: Golden Globes 2013

Awards season is upon us once again and while the awards are somewhat interesting, I do like to see the lovely garments that the not-so-lovely celebs are wearing. This year white dresses with intricate embellishment seemed to dominate the red carpet. My favourite has to be Emily Blunt in Michael Kors. Any favourites?

From left to right:
Emily Blunt in Michael Kors
Amy Adams in Marchesa
Jennifer Lopex in Zuhair Murad
Megan Fox in Dolce & Gabbanna
Isla Fisher in Reem Acra
Kerry Washington in Miu Miu
Amanda Seyfried in Givenchy

Matthieu Belin's narrative fashion photography

I am in absolute awe of this beautiful editorial that French photographer Matthieu Belin shot did for Life Magazine. Set in the Chinese province of Guizhou, Belin couples haunting landscapes with exquisite garments to tell a story. "Working with images echoes my desire to understand the world around me and its people. Each element is essential in the process of capturing photos as an art form, playing with the interdependence of light, time and contemplation. Exploring consciousness through the eye of possibility, I am unendingly fascinated by the mysteries of form and the surprising secrets they can unveil," says Belin of his work.

Backpacks: The Swiss Alps are calling

Sanqvist is a divine Swedish bag brand that was founded in 2004 by Anton Sandqvist when he made the first bag on an old industrial sewing machine. They make all types of bags but these backpacks really caught my eye. They make me want to go on an expedition, or somewhere I can boast one of these beauties on my back.

Visit their site to see the other types of bags and to make any sinful purchases (they don't come cheap).
